This is a great snack, especially if your Colon is a bit sluggish


  • 500mls organic Almond Milk (Supermarket)
  • 2 x tablespoons Freshly ground Linseeds (Linseeds or flaxseeds need to be kept in the fridge)
  • 2 x bananas
  • 1 x organic apple
  • 1 x table spoon of Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 x desert spoon of Barley Grass    
  • Blend and drink, it’s as simple as that…


The Almond Milk Smoothie, is a great mid morning snack, when you can only spare 5 minutes away from the computer.  Almonds are the most alkalising of all nuts, they are high in calcium and an excellent protein, especially for vegetarians.  Bananas are a great energy food, high in potassium and vitamin B6. Apples are a great source of vitamin c and pectin, which is a great fibre for healthy bowel function.  Apples are very alkalising and great if you suffer from a blood sugar drop post breakfast or late in the afternoon.

Flaxseeds or linseeds are a super seed, they are the richest plat souce of omega-3 essentail for a healthy heart and brain, ease of joints and for perfect skin.  They are high in phytoestrogens and will aid a healthy hormonal system.  Flaxseeds should be kept in the fridge, ground fresh and used immediately.  It is easy enough to purchase a coffee grinder and they whizz up in 30 seconds flat!  Flaxseeds will also help to keep your bowel regular and healthy.

Coconut oil is a delicious sweetner and contains lauric acid, this has powerful antiviral and antibacterial properties and is converted to the anti-ageing steroid, DHEA.  This is important, as DHEA is converted to 50 other essential hormones, including oestrogens.  Coconut will aid the immune system, thyroid function and is converted to instant energy , as it is a medium chain fatty acid, that won’t be stored as fat!  Barely grass is a superfood, great for alkalisation and weight loss, full of all your essential vitamins and minerals, simply a superfood!
